The idea to create this project arose because I myself faced with the fact that to find the services of a photographer, videographer, restaurant for my holiday I spent a lot of time. Later I conducted a survey and it turned out that everyone who organized their holidays faced the same problem.
So, the First Problem was that all the different services are scattered on different sites, and to choose the right one you have to analyze a lot of information.
The Second Problem was that there were very few honest and real reviews of services on all resources. Most of the positive reviews were bought. This could thus lead to ordering low-quality services and, as a result, a ruined holiday.
Finally, the Third Problem I identified was that business owners who were providing services were not happy with the way their services were placed by marketplaces. They didn't like the fact that they couldn't create their own ads, they weren't satisfied with the rating system, and they wanted to have a dialogue with their clients on their own.
Analyzing the market and competitors, I came across the Fourth Problem - for many people it was important to be able to book a table, at a restaurant in a few clicks, without filling out a lot of fields and forms.
Wireframing, Prototyping & Usability-Testing
First, I conducted a product study to find out the behavior of users, their motivations, and needs, as well as an analysis of competitors. Then, based on the information from the initial content audit, competitor analysis, and sorting out the cards with potential users, I defined the site map for YooGen (information architecture), designed and developed navigation, hierarchy, and categorization.
With low-quality prototypes, the planned functionality and overall structure of the application could easily be tested with usability tests.
After some paper prototyping adjustments, wireframes, mid- and high-fidelity prototypes were created, which I supplemented with clickability using InVision. Again, user tests revealed small vulnerabilities in the structure of the user interface, in some formulations and interactions. In addition, the users asked smart questions, which led to further improvements.
